What card was like the 7750, but two generations ago? I need something commonly available that I can pick up used for under $50, to be used primarily for SC2 (and Skyrim, maybe).

All I know about video cards right now is the 9800GT (my old card) and the 7750. Can you fill in the gap? Thanks.

why spend $50 on one card for now, then have to shell out another $80 in a bit? save the $30 if need be, I also recommend against the performance level the 7750 gives vs how much more the 7770 would give in return, similar to the GTX 650 vs 650Ti leaps and bounds performance difference, I say save up it is definitely worth it.
but here, this may help some.

shows a rough graph, I know toms has a decent graph as well for current pricing.

radeon 6670 or thereabouts would be the range you are looking at(price wise) but performance wise take 1 number back, in this case 7750 would have been x65x so like example 5650 got tiered up one to become 6750 from a performance stand point =/- to make room for the x9xx series example 6970 or 7970 they used to be the x700 series was the top of the chain except for the X2 cards, hope this makes sence, either way, alot of these cards will be quite hard to find.

If you're playing SC2 a lot on a (relatively low end card) might as well stick with an nvidia equivalent if you can.
