Need some technical help with KOTOR

Has anybody else come across the glitch in KOTOR where the game throws you out to the main menu when you try to leave your "base" apartment?

I've recently bought the game and its been giving me shit from the start. I've installed the v1.01 patch which solved some of the problems, but I don't have broadband to download the 25MB v1.02 patch

I was lucky enough to get the first patch from a pc mag cover disc.

Is it just me, or is there a shitload of bugs in this game

Hmmm nope, only had it crash on me twice for no odd reason. Other then that, a solid, excellent game.

Go to a LAN place and download the patch, or just let your computer sit all night downloading it.

That makes it even worse!

The bits I played thus far are really excellent! Isn't it just one of those things - you wouldn't have problems with carp like, say, Codename : Outbreak or Tomb Raider : Angel of Darkness

I have to say, all the Star Wars games I've played recently have really kicked ass!
