I'm on Vista. Here is the current setup I have for my hard drives:
WD 640GB - 3 Partitions, C, D, E
Seagate 500GB - 1 Partition, F
Seagate 500GB - 1 Partition, G
I just installed a new 1.5TB Seagate drive. When I went into disk management to format it, Format was not an option when I right clicked on it. Instead, it asked me if I wanted to set up a Simple, Spanned, Striped, or Mirrored Volume.
I'm thinking that this has to do with the number of Primary partitions I already have set up between my hard drives (5). Can someone explain why this is showing up, and what I will need to do to format my drive properly?
