My apologies if this is the wrong forum. :(

I need to flash the SAS HBA Firmware on a Supermicro motherboard and I need to do it from the UEFI shell. Problem is I can't switch to the damned USB drive to run the commands. I've googled this and have found nothing that works and an ass load of bullshit gibberish. Can someone tell me how to switch to the USB drive once I've booted into the EFI shell?

TIA :)

Thanks. Saved for future reference.

I managed to get it sorted out. Main problem was I didn't know the syntax to map the USB drive and then to switch to it. These 2 pieces of knowledge were nowhere to be found but I did find lots of bogus, bullshit info. Like I needed to boot off the USB drive into the shell. This is totally wrong and will not work because you can't run shit in the shell if you boot from the USB drive. Took me half a day to discover this. Once I had the 2 above pieces of knowledge I was able to upgrade the firmware without incidence. I'm a total noobee with the UEFI shell and probably always will be. :(
