I am new to video editing. I have a client that gave me a DVD to edit the video on it and clean up the audio and cut out some parts. What free software could I use to do this??? I am very confused at this point and don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

virutaldub can do this but may be a little complicated

what about windows movie maker!! (i know!)

also TMPEGENC or something from that range may help you

There are three .vob files on the disk. I can't figure out how to get them extracted from the disk. Can anyone help??? I have tried virtualdub and tmpgenc with no success, but it is very possible that I am doing it wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
