Go ahead and laugh, but I recently (3 days ago as of this post) built a AMD FX-8120 machine to replace the loud, hot & obnoxious DL360 rackmount server ive been using for the past year as my primary machine.
Anyway, I had acquired a Sapphire HD4870x2 from a friend online several months ago and it appears that only one processor is operational.
* I only have one 4870 listed in device manager
* GPUz only sees one
* Catalyst sees just one
* Catalyst AI has been set to both advanced & normal with no change
I've tried installing the drivers off the CD, as well as doing a fresh install and using the newest drivers from Sapphire all to no avail. However, the machine does seem to run better with my last reload. So, my question(s) are...
Of course the x2 has 2 processors on one board, so perhaps they're mirrored like RAID 1, so what I'm seeing is normal? Can anyone else whose owned this card confirm or deny this. I've seen plenty of idiots online in my google search whose answers are all over the place. Thanks in advance for any information.

* Windows XP (Win 7 will be dual booted later)
