Need help with monitor choice

I want a large format monitor primarily for gaming, but will use it for other "basic" use like web browsing, RDP sessions and Visio Diagrams. But the big thing is gaming. I have a Samsung 205BW that I will run as a dual setup as the second monitor as well.

I would like your input on these two choices. I am comparing apples to oranges here so bare with me, one is a monitor and the other an LCD tv.

Personally, I wouldn't go higher than a 24" if 1920x1200 is what you're after. I hate when the pixels pitch is too much. It's big on a 24", I couldn't imagine it on a 27". Just my opinion.
 
Brahmzy - Thanks for the input, the pixle ptch is not exactly tight on either display so I see the method to your madness.
