I have a very limited amount of electronics knowledge, so please bare with me. I am buidling a tach from various components to sense spindle speed on a piece of equipment. I got a Red Lion Ditak 5000 for the display part, and have robbed some hall effect sensors from some old floppy drives. Can someone tell me what wires are what on the hall sensor? 3 leads coming off, I would think 2 would be voltage, positve and negative, and assuming the third is the sensor signal? I have an old power supply out of a dvd player that died that I have a 5 volt output that I am using. All help greatly appreciated.
