Need help setting up Linksys wrt54g as repeater

Hey guys! I need some help. Does anyone here know if it's possible to set up my linksys wrt54g as a repeater to connect it to a D-Link DSL-604+ (the router connected to Internet) without WDS? The linksys router has WDS capabilities where as the D-Link does not.

In other words... is there anyway I can set any router as a repeater by wireless means, without using WDS?
