Hey everyone!

So I've been using a 21" LG monitor for the last 5 years and think it's time to upgrade! My rig is an AMD FX 8350, GTX 970, 8 GB G-Skill RAM, and Samsung SSD's and I mainly play FPS and tactical shooters. RIght now I'm looking between the Acer GN246H, ASUS VX238H, and LG 24GM77

Here's the Acer GN246HL http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009642&cm_re=144hz-_-24-009-642-_-Product

Here`s the ASUS VX238H http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...5&cm_re=PPSSHGGRXVLVAN-_-24-236-305-_-Product

Here`s the LG 24GM77 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...025009&cm_re=LG_24GM77-_-24-025-009-_-Product

Which monitor should I get? Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

You have a budget?

I would be looking for three things with your gaming type and setup: response rate, refresh rate, and g-sync:

For $385 the Acer XB240H looks clutch.

If you decide to go bigger, the ASUS ROG PG278Q is a great choice, but goes up to $625.

I am hoping to keep below $300 but I can go a bit over if it makes a big difference.

Thanks!

Anyone have any input? I hope to order a monitor today as I think many of the sales end.

Thanks!

You should definitely get something 120hz+ if you play fps. On the low end is the asus vg248qe. If there's a decent sale, the benq 144hz monitors are worth a look. G-sync supportee monitors will cost a little more and seeing how you do have an nvidia card it may help. The Korean overclockable monitors are worth a look if you want to take a gamble for a stable 120hz. Most are capable of 96hz and to a degree 110hz. I know the qnix q2710 usually goes on sale for around $200 which is still a pretty decent deal considering it is a 1440p pls/IPS panel; Dvi-d only may be a deal breaker for you though.

Thanks for the reply! The vg248qe is $370 up here and I don't see any 144 hz BenQ's naer my price range. What would you recommend?

Thanks!

Personally, I'd take my chances with a Korean import. 27"/1440p/IPS and usually overclockable is a nice step up from what you're using now. I wouldn't pay $400 for a 24".
