Need best CPU + Mobo combo for $300ish

OKay, guys I have been out of the scene for a while, and when I was in it I was an intel guy.

My system is fubared, so I just thought I could spend a $$ for a new CPU + mobo, and the AMD64 specs look good and so does the cash.

So what is the best combo around my price range? I am partial to ABIT boards as well.

Should I go N-Force 4? I have a 6800GT AGP, does N-Force 4 come with an AGP slot?

Oh, and what is the best chip for OCing? I'm still using a 2.4c (pentium) and that gave me monsterous OCs.

There never will be. The whole point of nF4, besides some firewall tweaks and whatnot, was the introduction of PCI-E.


Of course, there probably is/will be a motherboard that has one of those hybrid AGP slots that run on PCI-E channels and have bad compatibility.
