Ok, real quick here.. ordering within the hour for a friend.

She will NOT be overclocking, but we've decided on the Expert board because of the better layout and the fact that I'm here to set it up! ;)

That said, since she's not overclocking at all, I dont need the best RAM available. All I need is the best 2GB UNDER $160, that also works very well with the Expert!

I am also having a difficult time finding BIOS settings for the cheaper RAM, so any help would be appreciated.

So far, here are the choices:

GSkill F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS (DDR400 PC3200)

GeIL Value 2GB (2 x 1GB) GE2GB3200BDC

OCZ Value Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) OCZ4002048V3DC-K

THANKYOU AHEAD OF TIME!

excellent... i went with the gskills which seem to be the best bang for the buck. that said, im having a difficult time finding any recorded timings/settings for them on any of the forums... if anyone stumbles across any sets of timings for these 2GBNS sticks, please let me know!

thanks again and ahead of time!

Yes, it's written in newegg and you won't regret it. I got the same stuff and it's very nice :)

The Gskills seem to be failing a lot, from what I've seen around here. And I had problems with 2 bad sticks, I'm on my 3rd and 4th right now. The seem ok, but last night my computer threw a memory error. I'm somewhat skeptical about g-skills quality at this point. I think I woudl have bought OCZ or Munskin if I could do it over again.

Well, it depends on what motherboard. Some motherboards are more picky than others like the DFI or Asus ones.

Mine run very well and it's rare to see failing ones. If they do, it can also fail on OCZ or Mushkin ;)
