I just need the disc so i can install it on my computer. I already have the key, just need a boot image basically. Anybody that can help that would be great.

I might be wrong, but I thought the Enterprise edition of Windows 7 contained only the Enterprise edition images, nothing else.

i believe if you use the tool listed in my first thread. i used it to change my pro version to home. i think it will work with the enterprise edition too.

I beg to differ...

Converting to and from Enterprise is not supported because the Enterprise
edition installation discs are significantly different and cannot be be simply
patched.

That's what I would do, good of you to remind him of the hash.

That hash is a hashed product key, right? He already has a legit product key so why would he want to use that?

If he can use that tool to change what version of Win7 he wants from any version of Win7 installation media (say he had a Win7 ultimate disc/image), he could use that, right?

omg please, I don't need another piracy infraction. check MaxBurn link. hashed product key lol :D

Nope:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA1

Doesn't matter where you get the disk image, if the hash matches you know it is a perfect untouched image file.

lol, linking to SHA-1 wiki for a guy that has his CISSP and Sec+ certifications.. I know all too well what hash algorithms are and even the bit-length for most of them :p.

I just know that the product key in the registry is hashed/encrypted and you have to have have a program to decipher it for you, so I assumed that's what he was talking about.

But I know for file integrity you can hash a specific directory or HDD to get a check sum and make a copy of it, then compare the check sum to make sure you have an exact copy of the data, I just didn't think to apply it to this purpose.

You folks make things pretty tough...

Direct download of the Windows 7 Professional x64 English ISO, from Microsoft, bandwidth supplied by Digital River which is the same company that provides all the downloads for the Anytime Upgrade program as well.

And this information:

from technet:
File Name: en_windows_7_professional_n_x64_dvd_x16-13550.iso
ISO/CRC: B9E7108C

is irrelevant - it's the wrong version. Those checksums for a different ISO, the Windows 7 Professional x64 English "N" version, the one distributed over in Europe without Windows Media Player. It's not much but, it's not the "correct" untouched full Windows 7 Professional x64 English ISO... which is at the link I just provided.

Nothing stopping firas from posting the real checksums, however, just make sure to get the actual ISO ID correct: X15-65805.ISO

If you need something to verify the hash (if it gets posted), you can use HashTab - it's the coolest thing ever! :D

Yeah, I was about to post saying that was the wrong ISO too because the hash didn't match the one in the readme for the image switcher program that tricky posted ("50127304441a793ee51b3f501289f6599a559e9f *en_windows_7_professional_x64_dvd_x15-65805.iso").

Didn't realize they were listed in that file, so...

That makes things somewhat easier. :)

The digital river downloads are 100% legitimate for anyone to use. Feel free to grab the iso from them.

How does that link work for the .iso without having to log in? I've never heard of DR so I looked them up and it seems they just supply digital downloads of all sorts of software for businesses. I'm assuming there's no free services from them, so I'm puzzled as to how that link works for the download without authenticating yourself with a valid account, heh.
