Need a new Inexpensive wireless mouse?

I was using a Logitech M510 wireless mouse but it became erratic and unusable. I don't know if it's the mouse or the wireless dongle. It worked fine for several years before messing up. Even though it was a really cheap mouse I really liked it. Using my Logitech G9 as a backup but I hate the stiff wire on it.

I can get a new one for just $15 or I been looking at the VicTsing mm057 for $10 but reading the reviews for the VicTsing mm057 says it doesn't do well if you try to just move it a couple pixels, you got to move it for at least 2mm before it's registered. That kinda kills it for me.

I have been also thinking about spending a little more $50 on the CORSAIR Harpoon RGB Wireless but the reviews for it aren't that great. Only 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

Should I just get another M510 or is there something else I should look at? I only require a mouse that does 1600dpi as that is where I use my G9 and like it's speed.

Oh, I am looking at a 5/6 button mouse I like the back/forward thumb buttons, don't need anymore than that.

Old thread and I am sure you bought something by now, but I use a Logitech G602 wireless on several machines. I wish it was rechargeable but for around $40 they are awesome.

Best mouse ever imo. I have 3 on 3 machines. These are on sale for 28 bucks at newegg right now.

There's a reason it has over 25k reviews... it's a solid product, and for $10? Good luck getting better at that price range.

Comes in a bunch of colors too, has your back and forward buttons and even has a neat auto shut off so you don't have to worry about battery life.

I've even gamed on it for awhile when in travel for work. Doesn't do all that bad for what it's really meant for.

Don't listen to the 1% of reviews for that product. It's the best budget wireless mouse on the market in my opinion.

I bought a bunch for employees and families throughout the last few years, and they all seem to love it and use it on an almost daily basis.

The sensor issue is rather miniscule, to non exsistent. It's just sensitive, so if you up your dpi, you shouldn't have to pick up your mouse as frequently.

What happens is that it will pick up movement if you pick up the mouse and drag it if you're about .5 to 1 cm high when relocating it. It's not THAT bad. Hell, my G502 does the same thing.

Guys, this is exactly the thread I needed!

Coming back from a 6+ year off from gaming. I was using one of those full hand mice from Microsoft, the wireless MS Sidewinder.

It was only after I stopped gaming that I realized the full hand mouse was making my arm hurt and causing me pain. I went to a Logitech M325 mouse, just for normal use, and all of my pain went away. It's a palm sized mouse and I can use it much better than the larger mice.

I'd like to stay with Logitech because I am also looking for a keyboard. I was using a simple MS curved keyboard,which had a macro program with it, and I liked it fine. I tried the Logitech G15s, 17s etc., and always went back to the MS keyboard. I found out that i didn't need a fancy keyboard, just one that had macro capability and was comfortable. I don't have it anymore. I want to stay 1-00% Logitech this time around. One thing I did like about the MS Gaming mouse was that it didn't have a lot of settings and macros you could use. One that was specifically useful was a button assignment where it would spin your character around 180 degrees instantly.

Anyone know of a Logitech mouse that will fill me needs and be about the same shape and size as the M325. I'm currently using the Logitech M185, since my 325 broke, and it is small but shaped differently and hurts my arm. So I'm super sensitive to moue shape and size. that's why i want to find one shaped like the M325 and the same size, if possible. I only need two side buttons. that's all the old MS mouse had, and after trying Logitech's G15 mouse with 200 buttons on it looking like a porcupine, and razors and others, I stayed with the MS mouse with two side buttons. If the mouse has top buttons for modes, I'm ok with that, but more than two side buttons hampers my gaming.

I'd say it's more comparable to the M510

I will say, I've never had connection issues with the VicTsing. Even with my wireless Keyboard that came with that M510 in a combo pack, I had pretty severe issues with consistent connections. Maybe it the reciever was defective.. who knows?

Haven't tried that $30 one. But I am a fan of the company. I've also used a few of their gaming mice and did enjoy it thoroughly. Especially for a gaming mouse in the $12 to $18 range, it couldn't have exceeded my expectations any further.

Solid products.

Does the older version come with a macro program and logical game assignments, such as the option to spin your character 180 degrees?

Ywp, the M510 is a lot bigger than the M325. But the VicTsing is almost an EXACT match!

I might have to forgo the Logitech, especially at 9.99.
However, the VicTsing comes with NO software.
So no native button assignments or macro capability. I need way to assign game keyboard functions to my mouse, like switch weapons using not only the right button but the middle and two side buttons too.

I remember now that the MS gaming mouse I use to use also allows you to click once on the fire button and assign how many seconds you want to hold the button down (on) before releasing it. This was really good for automating archery. You could assign 3 second then release. When you punched the fire key, it would automatically hold it for 3 seconds, release, then repeat until you punched it again, which turned off the macro. I see X-Mouse can do that too. Anyone have suggestions to for software to control a normal mouse for gaming?

I believe the macro programming on the software is minimal at best. But for $10... I wouldn't expect it to either

That's the software download link from their website.
It sure is plug n play, but the software offers customization options for the mouse (dpi profiles, color, polling rate,etc)
They don't provide software in the packaging, just a quick thank you letter with a "Please download this mouse software at ..." type of message..

Still might get this old version becasue it is 10bucks and I can use a mouse program to assign keys macros etc. Do you know the difference between the older version and newer version?

I would hurt myself using that thing.It's 5.5" long! It's a palm mouse. Those tend to hurt me. Plus I only need one extra button on the side, but I could live with two. Anymore and the buttons get in the way of my grip.

Went to Amazon, and got sticker shock at $150.00. LOL It better have 24K gold inlay for that price.

I think I will get that VicTsing mouse for 10 bucks. I need another mouse anyway. I just wanted to keep everything Logitech because of the receivers. Everything, including their keyboards, just work with one dongle.

If anyone has any other Ligitech suggestions, please let me know. I'd still rather keep it Logitech.

WOW that's expensive for a freaking mouse! $270 to get the charging mouse-pad with the mouse... Insane.

Also from what I've seen the Logitech gaming stuff that comes with a "Lightspeed" receiver uses a different frequency than the standard "unifying" receivers with the orange star on them. You can only pair 1 device per receiver with the gaming stuff.

Good information. That means even if I do get the LT gaming mouse, I'll still need another dongle. So, it's really not that important.
