My stock fan on my SG05 is getting noisy after 2+ years. I want to get a local fan with minimal fuss. Fortunately I have frys, microcenter, and svc relatively close by. Amazon is also an option since I have prime. What should I get? I'm not sure they have yate loons or sycthes that I am used to.

Do you want quiet, high airflow, color coordinated, etc? What kind of fan are you looking for? I use ~8 different fans here and there, my favorite are Noctua's. Highest airflow of any of my fans and also the quietest. Only drawback is their horrendous color scheme.

In b4 "Don't waste your time with anything other than GT AP-15s".

$19.90 with Prime.

I'm still waiting on my case to put these in my build (bought 2 of them awhile back) but they feel sturdy as hell. If they are as good as everyone says they are (specifically, if they are quiet enough) I will probably buy at least two more.

The GT line is know for being a good fan, and for a good reason, its one of the few fans I would trust to put into a server like environment, they are very well built. With that said, they are known for being HS and Rad fans, while they perform just fine in a case fan setup, they are very high priced and that price you are paying for is the static pressure the fans are known for. There are many choices in case fan setups that are often half the price of the GT's and move as much if not more CFM. Also, the AP-15's are anything but quiet, which is why I suggest the AP-13's to everyone and at most AP-14's if you can stand noise. If you don't mind the cost of the GT's, then go for it, they will probably last for many cases.

They are cheaper here:

Only $15.95

And you can also use a 5 % discount code.

Even with a 5 % discount they are no better than on par with Amazon. Shipping kinda kills it for Jab-Tech.

I actually ordered 6 for myself and ended up saving about 13 bucks (13 bucks less than amazon).

Yeah, turns out the shipping does not scale linearly so if you order several (like 3+) it's cheaper. If you only want one, though, Amazon is cheaper.

I only mentioned that because the OP seems to only want one fan.

Yea I only want 1 fan. The silverstone SG05 only uses 1 case fan. I want just a plain fan that has a good balance of noise and airflow, I don't care about the color as long as its not an LED lighted one. 3 pin is a must since its going directly to the mobo.
