i need a shutdown program that allows me to schedule when do i want to turn off my system, NE1 knows any?

You don't really need another program. In windows you can use the task scheduler and set it to run shutdown.exe at a particular time.

shutdown.exe -s -t 60

hmm... is that in seconds ?... i want to go to bed and leave me pc downloading

Don't use the command line to start the shutdown. Enter the command into the task scheduler. In the task scheduler you can set the exact time you want it to happen. You can reach it through the control panel, or you can type tasks into a run box.

interesting... and free !! dunno how could i beat that ! :p

WinDown.exe is free to, it has a count down timer or you can set it for a specific time. Only 76K too.

Is this feature also offered on Windows 2000 Server? if not (as I did a search for shutdown.exe but didn't find any), does WinDown.exe works with Windows 2000?

Thanks for the tidbit on the tasks, it came very handy for my workstations working under Windows XP Pro.

I only have Windows XP and 2003 Server to try out, but Windows 2000 should have the shutdown.exe program in:

Code:
%windir%\system32\
