Need a free image editor

Is there a free alternative to PS for the mac.

Ther are several for Windows but I didn't see any based on OSX


Any leads would be great.

Try the GIMP.

i'd use seashore

it's the gimp in cocoa so you don't need X11

<--- new mac user so finding mac programs is still a bit of a challenge. PC is no prob.

There is something called GIMPshop I believe that is GIMP with Photoshop's layout. When I get home I'll give you the link to find the program if you need it otherwise just Google it. Like GIMP it is an X11 type program.
