Someone should create an ammonium-cooled rig...Somebody needs to rig up something man...if you could have like a compressor co2 tank/canister tied to and in to the line some how lol, I don't know not the crazies trying to set records on Ln2 and probably killed boards doing it...
personally i like the no mounting kit setup, looks cooler and way cleaner in the process.. all they'd really need to do is make the tabs that attach to the retention bracket slightly longer so there's less of a chance of it sliding out from the tabs on the bracket when you close it.
Yeah he needs a Nickel version.

The surface does not look too polish, engineering sample, so improvements are still in the works and fantastic this company gives it to [H]ardOCP to review and get some solid sound inputs! I am more impressed with that then the design, well waiting on initial results to see how that pans out.
Clearance between the chip and block is critical, not sure what variations there are between different CPU (same model), motherboard sockets etc. which could change that clearance from one sample to the next. The potential for great cooling is huge!!! Proper fit up or tests by the user maybe needed to get maximum heat transfer characteristics. Having shims, not on the die but for the interface with the raised surface maybe a solution if needed - I don't know but I would want almost 0 clearance but not putting undo stress on the CPU bare die to prevent damage.
Will the company also sell or provide the delidding kit as well?
I think it is an interesting idea, but I have overall concerns with the mount.
Copper is not the hardest material, so putting that kind of pressure on those tabs seems questionable. Because once you throw tubing on there, there is the potential for more side/angle pressure then a chip ihs would ever see. Along with kind of finessing the block and the cpu bracket, I can see a lot of people having problems.
Cute. I think the audience for this type of block is pretty small though.
Looks well made excepting the plastic flow plate......
1) the mounting looks a little tricky. Not for the fat of fingers.
2) will it blend?
3) is the wire for disco lights?
They should be able to increase the size of the tabs a bit--I'm pretty sure the tabs on the ihs are bigger, and this effectively replaces it.
The rough milling could be a good thing or a bad thing with such a small contact area. Will probably be a few revisions testing this and other aspects.
In regards to small audience – I hope you will be wrong
1) There will be detailed video with step by step installation. After little practice I can argue that its easier than “standard” installation.
I do believe that Ncore mounting mechanism is safer than “standard” as you do not have lose heavy bolts which you can drop on a motherboard and damage it.
2) Will it blend or bend? Notches in prototype send to Kyle are thinner than intendent in final design. If Kyle’s prototype won’t bend I can assume that it won’t in finished Ncore V1.
I’ve made extended computer simulation which confirmed that it should be not an issue
3) It’s single colour LED diode. Lack of space and additional cost of RGB light forced me to go with single colour light.
The contact surface was machined but not polished. However, since then, I have revised the Ncore’s base design. This allowed me to improve the finish of the die contact surface. Final product will be grounded to achieve near to perfect flatness and surface finish.
If the Kickstarter will be success I’m planning to verify compatibility with wider intel range sockets. It looks that older generations could work with this design too.
Yes, there will be Ncore V1D version which has a delidding tool.
I was curious if it was going to be for other sockets, because would be extremely interested on this with my upcoming I9 build. Do we have an ETA on the kickstarter ?

I would appreciate being able to get the instructions without the use of a phone.
What OD tube does it take?
Will there be a 1/2" OD option?

I will be putting a video instruction manuals for the Ncore. I wanted to give people an option to just scan a QR code. But there will be links to manuals available soon.
I used 12mm OD hard tubing and 13mm OD soft tubing. I do not think that it’s possible to fit bigger size than that.
