Now that the M2 have shipped to a few, we need a place to discuss around this case. A few builds have been made already and a lot more are on the way.

Now, [H] was the place to discuss the M1 with one of the most popular thread of all time. We all know [H] is no more like it was and I doubt the M2 will get as much posts but I think having it's own dedicated thread is justified.

Find the M2 on https://ncased.com/collections/m-series

Yeah I ordered the black rounded right before they released the angled lol. Kinda bummed but its cheaper so meh. I'm not worried about the size, I just want the flexability of 4 ram slots and extra m.2 and pcie.
I'm also tempted by the angled because it's like my M1 but the higher price is meh. Also looking for silver like my M1, aluminum always looks nice but not yet available. I have a few more weeks to think about all this.

Well, excting that Gigabyte have finally released all the Z890 boards but not sure anyone will be excited...

OP, can you add a link to your initial post for people to easily check out / buy the M2?

I got my black M2 a while ago. Haven't built it yet. I have a silver M1 and think it looks great. Might have gone silver in the M2 had it been available, but I do like the black as well.

I ordered the Asus X870-I for the M2 build. Once more info on the new X3D parts is available I can decide on a CPU. I'll be using the 4090 and block from my current M1 build and likely a lot of the parts from the custom loop. Have the Iceman res on the M1, but I might do the Lobo for the M2.

Same I have a silver M1 ans I'm thinking of silver M2 angled but there are a few things I'm not sure to like about the silver. The side panels that are black and that piece on the back that is black is ugly.

Parts are coming together for the M2 build.
Asus X870-I
Modultra Lobo pump/CPU block
2 x 48GB G.Skill DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102

9800X3D is on order.

Debating getting an SF1000 or reusing my SF750.

I will be in the minority but went Intel, have the mobo but not CPU, some parts still missing.

P.S. also, JSYK, I've contacted a mod about someone who wanted to share build here and having an issue to register and the answer I got wasn't the one I was expecting so not sure how far this thread will go as I quit inviting people to post here.

Amazon just put the SF1000 on sale so I'm in for one of those too.
My current M1 (signature) runs on a SF600 and last year when I thought I would upgrade I bought a SF750 still new in box so that will be more than enough. It's the previous model and not the 2024 refresh.

I'm still running an NCase M1 version 1 with an SF600, 12400F, 64GB RAM, couple 1TB m.2s and 2070 Super Hybrid. (RIP EVGA) Oh and don't forget the Silverstone DVD burner in the slot on top. Awww yeah.

SF600 yeah right I fixed my post. So SF600 was more than enough for my build and yours. I just added 150W with the SF750 when on sale last year. SF1000 is just more money spent for no real benefit.

It's crazy overkill. I love it!

I started with an SF450 in my first ncase build, then bumped it up to SF600, eventually SF750, and now SF1000.

I have a 4090 and might drop a 9950X3D in there eventually so the extra headroom will be appreciated. I also like the skinnier cables and smaller connectors on the SF1000. I think that'll make keeping things clean a bit easier. I made custom cables for my SF750 but may not have to for the SF1000.

We have a sf1000 in a 2000d itx case and I don't think I'd build in it again but it did fit in the space we had for it and was cheap and was a neat exercise relative to my usual 75-90 liter workstations. I read it ran gpus hot so it's only got a regular 4080 in it and it works great but I added a 4 120mm fans to the configuration with a silverstone fan multiplier that gets sata power and cann connect 7 fans to one header. It makes fan wire fishing easier too. mf itx board only has 2 fan headers but i keep a few of those silverstone things to make the workstation builds easier and buy more when I get down to 2 of them. It runs 6 120mm fans including the cpu fans all at about 750 rpm and it stays plenty cool in an airconditioned room and at 1200-1500 rpm it could work without a/c. We take it outside, stop the blades with implements and blow it out with a metrovac duster every 30 days in the fall and spring and every 60 the rest of the time.

Nice! I'm a big proponent of smaller builds. Unless you need PCI slot expansion or a bunch of spinning disks, there's very little you can't do with a SFF build.

My 9800X3D shipped. Think that's the last piece for my M2 build. Might be able to start next week.

I don't like how the cables come out of the bottom and would prefer the usb ports to be on the top or the top of the front panel due to pets and recessed power button to require a finger or some other implement smaller than animal paws to press would be ideal.

Meshilicious has those things, but it's a bit smaller. Not sure you'd be able to fit as many fans.

M2 build is coming along. I'm hoping I can fit a small tube reservoir in between the motherboard and PSU.

Really liking the cables that come with the SF1000. I made my own cables when building in the M1, but with these there's no need.

Not sure I understand, rad suck air from bottom, which become heated air which video card will get?
I don't know if the rads warm the air up that much. In any case, the card is primarily cooled by the radiators, so airflow over the radiators is the main concern. It doesn't matter where you put the rads, you want them sucking in cool air from outside the case. They're always going to be blowing that on something inside the case.
