Oh, and the ST45SF will run an R290.
But it won't run Furmark, if I do that it just turns off. Not tried Uniengine Heaven.
So the whole system turns off under load? What's the point?

Tried it to see if it would handle it - it couldn't.

According to;Isn't Furmark a synthetic benchmark that force the system to loads that will never happen? I think the 290 can handle gaming just fine...
Vidya gaem (Crysis 3) load is about the same Furmark load. Also I was going off the figures here:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7481/the-amd-radeon-r9-290-review/15
So far I've played FIFA 14, Batman AA and AC, and WoW MOP on it without any problems at all. I think it will be just fine as long as I don't go trying to torture it.
So kudos to Necere and Wahaha360 - this project has been an absolute triumph so far. And kudos to everyone on this forum. Friendliness, knowledge, and just a general willingness to help with even the most trivial of things make it a pleasure to be a part of.
On another note I just found this and I wonder if it'll fit, at least with Asus Z boards.
indeed, Noctua showed lots of exciting stuff at computex and there are no release dates yet. I think a lot of people are waiting to get their hands on the black/grey 'budget' versions of the fans, the active noise cancellation cpu cooler (not for M1) and of course the compact heatsinks like D9What I am more worried about though, is if it ever comes to market....
What are you running on it
CPU, HDD< any fans, ODD ?
Just trying to get an idea of power use.
thanks
If you are using sfx PSU, you can rule out
780 ti
780
290x
290
Their load consumption is ~10% of each other, and I don't think there is enough overhead left on st45 for that and high end cpu, and all the peripherals.
But I am sticking to 290 since it will be underwater.

Intel Core i5-3570K
Intel DH77DF
16GB Geil Black Dragon DDR3 (2x8GB)
Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
256 Crucial M4 SSD
1TB Samsung Spinpoint M8 2.5" HDD
Antec Kuhler H2O-620 w/Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm
No ODD
Got mine today !
Maybe the non-gold version of the Silverstone SFX is not as good as the Gold one and might not be that "peak-friendly". Still.... too close for my taste.
My current system at default idle in Windows:
100% Loaded with FurMark:
Runs between 340-370W. I'll see you all on the flipside. Flipside being after I built my PC into the Ncase :-P
that's excellent, do you know how the tax and clearance / handling fees break down?i have to pay only 19,36

Sorry I didnt find anything on this with a quick search but has anybody looked into sound dampening options? M1 is absolutely gorgeous and it totally exceeded my hopes, thank you. My only complain about it is that its a little bit noisy (cant have everything ) compared to my previous FT03-MINI with nearly same configuration. I think the noisiest component is my Silverstone sfx 450w bronze but Im trying to stick with it until the new rumored sfx is launched.
I have tried to find every single possible picture of this one, and my SUSPICION is that this one will also allow you to install the side fan, Just maybe. (i.e. less than 115mm tall)
Would Love to have one of those. In my Asrock Z87eITX board, the Noctua U9B in a vertical orientation fits with 1mm to spare between it and the ram sticks. (permitting unlimited ram height)
My hopes with the D type is that it fits both ways, both up and sideways, depending on whether theres a limitation on the efficiency of the cooler in the horizontal orientation (airflow wise)
What I am more worried about though, is if it ever comes to market.... This would be something I would seriously consider instead of my U9B
I have the Silverstone SFX 450w Gold with one of these fitted - http://www.bequiet.com/en/casefans/258 and it's pretty much inaudible at anything more than about 6 inches away, although I'm running it at 9v iirc.
