I'm partial to Asus boards, so I'd say the Asus but I don't think you can go wrong either way. I'm also partial to the Corsair line of PSUs. My Silverstone SF450 had an annoying coil whine at loads, the Corsair SF450 has 'something' of a noise there but definitely not a loud whine like before. I'd go the Corsair PSU wise.
sf 600 platinum, I have only seen the gold. Which is on amazon at the moment.Thank you for your suggestion. I just wanted to clarify if there will be an issue on my cpu cooler because of that giant looking I/O shield. I guess i'll go with the corsair sf600 just dont know when the platinum be available again.

A review of the 450 watt platinum variant just went up so I bet it'd be available soon.https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...pply-Units-Advanced/SF-Series/p/CP-9020182-NA
It looks like it's available on their site? This is the first I've heard of it, so I don't know the story, but a Google search brought that up.
what psu do you currently use? anandtech's review of the 450 platinum suggests it's a very similar fan but pwm. I'm eager to hear if that makes a difference vs. the sf600 gold, even anecdotallyMy SF600 platinum shipped last week. I should get it soon.

Do you think a build with an intel i9 9900k and an nvidia rtx 2080 will produce good temperature in the Ncase?
Should make decent temp, but for GOOD temp, you want to go with the RTX 2080 Ti...
Ok I deserved this answer
Let me rephrase. Is the cooling capacity of the N1 case good enough for such load?
Hey guys quick question on cooling. Going through my stock of parts and found an unused Noctua NH-C12P SE14.
Would that be better for overclocking in the Ncase than my existing NH-U9S? I currently have it vertical with two fans pushing upwards and a third fan outside the rear vent as an exhaust.
I am also using the HDD cage - figment shouldn’t be an issue right?
what fans is that?I've got a C12p SE14 cooling a stock clock 4770k. I even upgraded the fan to the newer 150mm circular Noctua that uses 140mm fan mounts. It stays nice and quiet under any real workload or game, but it hits 100c in prime95 small ffts if that matters for you.
If you don't have a fan to pair it with yet, the new A12 Noctua fans may actually work better because of how much overhang there is on the larger fans, but I haven't taken the $30 plunge to find out.
I also haven't replaced the thermal compund since 2013...
Anyone who intends to put a 9900k in his m1 I can say it works quite well, Temps are not different from a 8700k
My setup
Board: asrock z370 Fatal1ty itx gaming with the latest bios
Graka:1080ti founders
Water aio : corsair h100i pro , it fits really well
Anyway Temps
Cinebench all ore at 4,7ghz around 70C peak
Aida 64 Stresstest without Stresstest fpu after 5 min 60-70 C with peaks 75C
Idle around 30C with dips below at 20C room temp
Gaming around 50-60C

hi everyone,,,
anybody knows if a gaingward 1080ti phoenix golden sample would fit in the ncase m1?
Cooling : 2.5 Slot Fan cooler
Product Size : 285mm x 133mm
thank you!

If this was a 2-slot card, I think you'd be OK, but I don't know if the extra thickness will interfere with the case's front I/O components. Also, the card's PCI-E sockets are at the top of the PCB, instead of recessed (i.e. a bit lower), so given the card's 133 height, there is only 7 mm of space for the PCI-E cables and connectors.
thank you for your response.
I won't risk buying it then.
I prefer to wait price drops and buy something that fits ok.
Which are the bet 1080Ti's to fit better in the ncase?
thanks.
I've never had a problem with the usb ports. Even if I had carved it down to fit a bottom radiator...anybody have problems with the front usb ports? i was trying to plug in a windows usb and it wouldnt read
Loose cable?so first boot it didnt detect my mouse or keyboard.
then it didt detect my usb drive with windows 10 (bought one from miscrosoft)
plugged everything in the back, and mouse+kb worked. usb drive keept bsod'ing me so got a different usb drive and made my own boot drive.
i tried that in the front and this time it detected it so no clue what was wrong before.

window version, 1080ti sc no mod. u9s cooler
in bios my temp is 37c, and i think ambient is 26c in my room. i'll stress test it later to see if its OC'able.
i have the cool fan, rear fan, and 2 under the gpu. shows in bios as 2 fans + aio pump
i picked XMP profile 2, will need to check if it actually stick in windows as its still showing stock in bios
still waiting on a few aesthetic parts. but otherwise should be good to go.
I've been using this build for over a year now. Running an 1800X Oc @ 4ghz with a 1080ti. Its been fantastic and very solid. Pretty much used it every day for heavy 3D work. Reading and catching up on these posts has been fun and I feel compelled to build another one with newer components.
Interesting to see the C14s doing well with a 140 mm fan underneath. I'll likely go with this. Currently running with a C14 and 120 mm intake.

Hi guys,
I finished my new build today so I also did a bench for you for the 9900K in the M1.
Here's my setup:
- Asrock z390 phantom gaming-itx/ac
- i9 9900K
- Noctua U9S (two A9 fans on the cpu heatsink)
- Third Noctua A9 on the back of the case as exhaust
- Noctua NF-A12x25 as intake on the side for the case
- Vega 64 with aftermarket cooler morpheus ii
- Two Noctua 120mm X 15mm slim on the bottom of the case as exhaust
So a total of 6 fans to try to cold this beast.
I'm still trying some settings to do a small undervolt and this is not final. CPU was stable at around 76C after 5 minutes of Aida64

Have you talked to frozenq? Maybe a modified version of their m1 res would be a good place to start (looks like you're already mostly there, though). We have been working to get a low profile (<48mm) CPU DDC Pump Res combo that will work for the M1, A4, C4 and Mach One.
Here are some pictures of prototype 1.

I have more ideas than time to execute, so we ask you guys to be patient, the product will only get better with iterations on our end - and it has to be, or else why waste everyone's time.

Is that a MonoBlock? what board would that mount to?
