nope, intel has it locked down. the only way I know of to achieve this is to get an adapter to connect the fans to your mobos fan header. then with the right software like speedfan you have full control. ive done this several times without issue.I recently replaced GTX1070 the stock cooler with an Arctic Accelero Xtreme III, and it seems to allow a minimum fan speed of 27%.
While that's reasonably quiet, I really want a silent-at-idle build, so it's a bit disappointing.
Is there any way to do this, such as via a bios update?
