Yay! Over a year after I bought my M1, and I finally got a GPU!
Gigabyte GTX 970 ITX (GV-N970IXOC-4GD) installed..
Also yanked out $60 worth of shitty Silverstone CP11 SATA cables (50% ended up being faulty) and replaced with the stock ASUS cables. Tidied up my cable management a little better, and finally installed the IreK alternate DEMCiflex filters (side and top only; bottom and PSU are still Necere's original version, and dirty but working very well!). Chopped up the top stick-on magnet into four pieces, so that none of the adhesive was showing through the vents in the top panel. Also, replaced the stock rubber grommets with rubber blanking plugs from the guy in Ireland that Hanakuso recommended, and replaced a broken M1 plastic clip (thanks W360!).
Switched out my old v1 internal power cable with the new shorter v2 (left-angle) version and swapped the serial/name badge for a central outlet..
The 970 ITX seems to work very well in this case. GPU & CPU temps are 40C or below at idle, and the GPU never gets above 75C during benchmarks (Heaven, Firestrike). The CPU stays in the 50's during the same tests (and under 75C during the physics portions). The card is actually pretty quiet and near silent at idle.. definitely audible under load, but with a mostly pleasant sound (could still hear the ST600-G fan chattering, though it never got louder).
Just need another 3.5" and 2.5" drive, a new monitor (and 10 more fans, and maybe a 3rd PSU), and then my build will be complete!![]()

I was wondering if it is possible to have neodymium magnets to secure the panels. Since they are more durable then the (Tooless Plastic Clips)
Also thanks for the accessories, finally I can stuff 6 Hard drives inside the NCASE!

While I can guess you have a valid reason for stuffing so much HDD's in there, I can't come up with a valid reason why you would place dust filters on the side panel without there being any intake fans on that side. If anything, it will only make it harder for cool air from outside the case to enter. How are your HDD temps ?I was wondering if it is possible to have neodymium magnets to secure the panels. Do you recommend staying with an SFX psu even if you have an ITX length gpu? I have neither a GPU or PSU yet, really unsure of how I want to build this thing. SFX psu and full length 970, or ATX psu and mini 970... Or SFX psu and ITX gpu... OR the new SFX-L psu and full length card if anyone can confirm that's even possible.
This is looking good. Thanks for the temps. I am seriously considering a short itx 970 myself. It has to help with airflow and your temps look really good. Have you tried it without the fans to see how much impact they have on your temps?

Nice rig, but I'm curious of the load temp of W8100 in that crammed setup.
Oh the dust filters are for the incoming vents, just in case dust find its way through the side panel's vent holes.
No need. I found that the fans are very restrictive to airflow when they are off, so it won't really give a good idea of what it's like without it there. But thanks anywayI can try disabling them in BIOS, if you'd like (temps will probably increase just from blocking the GPU intake).
I knowbut there's no way I'm easily taking them out and putting them back in again. Trying to get the rubber screws in the rear fan with the mobo still in place was a nightmare.
Ouch!The Firepro 8100 is at 93c (core) @ 97% load
According to OCUK (who sell a comparable card online in the UK), Best Buy are only allowed to sell the card in store.Jesus im so jelous of those in USA buying the reference one from Best buy. Can someone go in store and ask when it will be posted to buy on there website? lol Ive tryed emailing and i realllly want one haha

best buy's are nvidia cards with nvidia warranty
ocuk is different... just ssame physical appearance
even the boxes are different
can anyone confirm if this blu ray drive will fit in the ncase?
it says streacom but im not 100% sure if you can use it elsewhere

Trying to figure out if should go with a reference 980 or the OCUK/BestBuy 970.
I would like to have a pretty quiet system and im worried the extra load of a 980 could make PSU (ST-SF45G) noisy?
On the other hand I might upgrade my monitor and go from 1920x1200 -> 2560x1440,
would that justify the extra cost for the 980 or will the 970 still do fine?
Perk of getting the 970 is that the money saved could be put into a SFX-L that hopefully runs a silent fan.
Quick question would this psu FSP Group AURUM S 600W ATX fit inside the M1 v3 with a long gpu?
The problem with going to a 980 is you're paying 40% or more for a bit over 10% more performance. That would be perfect for 1440p if it was an equivalent amount more expensive - but it's not.
970 does fine at 1440p. A 280x for that matter also does fine (without turning down settings). I have not played on intensive multi games (bf4 largest map) but in mordor, tomb raider and similar, the 280x was smooth. If I turned down to high then it would easily go to 60fps or close.
The 970 will not need to turn down settings in most games. When games push you down to medium settings, that's when a second 970 will take you back up.

I'd say go with the 980 for the extra oomph. If you could go SLI ( larger case ) you might go with 970 but IMHO not for mITX. I got the 450W SFX with 4770k/980 ( both OC'd ALOT ) and the PSU is quite noisy. I am waiting for the 120mm SFX-(L)
lol thats what you get with 450w .. id defo get 600w with your your setup
