I'm trying to come up with a silent GPU setup for my ncase. The best I have come up with so far is to use a GTX 770, probably the EVGA one with their custom ACX cooler, and remove the fans in favor of two low-rpm 120mm fans mounted on the bottom of the case. Seems like I should be able to get about the same airflow but with less noise. What do you guys think, will this work?
Any options for a shorter PSU cable inside the case?
I'm a bit confused about the PSU mounting bracket, are there two of them? One for ATX and one for SFX?
I have tried this in my case but didn´t work well. At least for my PNY card.
Who the heck does factory maintenance during Christmas?
Damn. I only got the ATX one >_<
Hmm thanks. I assume the problem was it got too hot? I guess my backup plan is to swap in a bigger GPU heatsink, something like the Accelero Xtreme iii. I was hoping to avoid that as it is such an expensive heatsink.
Yes. Getting too hot. Main my concern about noise is my PSU.
gtx 770 in M1 don´t runs more than 71% fan speed with stock clock so it is not loud. (if it is your concern too).
Using bottom fans don´t help me much. I have done a quick test:
BTW I have 2 fans in bottom
Running FurMark 1.12 with bottom fans off I have:
GPU 84o celsius, 71% max fan speed (Mother board 53o celsius
With bottom fans on max:
GPU 83o celsius, 70% max fan speed (Mother board 51o celsius
Forcing GPU to 100% with bottom fans off:
GPU 76o celsius
Forcing GPU to 100% with bottom fans 100%:
GPU 73o celsius
The SFX bracket should be already mounted in the case. Is it missing in yours?
Is there a way to get the missing parts ?
I didnt receive the HD bracket
Does anyone know what ATX PSU's are compatable with the case or if i could replace the pass through cable?
Also the seasonic S12G should fit too with long GPU if the specs on the site are true. Comes in 450,550,650 and 750 watts. All same casing size but starting at the 650 you'll have 4 x PCI-e cables so that will really clutter up things.
I am inclining towards the seasonic S12G 550watt. Anyone advicing against this? I think it is better than the corsair cx 600 but I am not sure. I will have to deal with a cable mess but I might cut a few cords or learn to cut to size and sleeve.

I hope this gets resolved.
And I hope nobody is lying about missing parts ... I could use a second HDD bracket ...

Do you think you could take some pics of your cases as you received them, with the side/top panels off? Email them to info@ncases.com with a note about the parts you're missing. Is there a way to get the missing parts ?

No, don't worry about it then. Just to be clear, the part you're missing is the HDD cage, as shown in the top half of this pic, correct? The case is fully mount now, do you need me to unmount everything to take a picture ? (And i already send an email to that adress last friday)
That's the other guy that's missing the SFX bracketIf you have everything mounted then the bracket was included because you'd have no way to attach your PSU.
What temps are you getting on stock air?

I initially promised my 3.5" cage to semyorka, but haven't heard back from them by PM yet. I will never use mine and it's just going to sit around otherwise, so I'm glad to pass it along to someone who needs one. So, you know, just PM me.
Well, we have the extra cases (or w360 does, more precisely), which will have to be raided for parts.Yes that's it, i spend half an hour to figure out how to install the HDDs inside the atx bracket before noticing it was not the hdd bracket ^^.
So yes i do not have the hdd bracket. Do you have spare ones ?
What do you all use for your load testing?
Any reason NOT to go with an Intel SSD?
Yes, w360 should be able to send you a replacement. So Necere, can you send me one hdd bracket ? I understand that it should bother you, but you will make my day by assuring me the perfect case (cause except for that, i'm a big fan now, and can't wait for my next lan to show it off ^^).
Sigh. I've told w360 to pull those pics from the first post. Those were just me mocking up different possibilities for SSD placement in this post. No, you can't mount them like that. The only change to the mounts from the prototype was to move them to the center.has anyone mounted their SSDs like this?
I've looked at pics of the case and can't picture how/where the mounting points work.
I only plan on having 2 SSDs and one mSATA or NGFF SSD so this placement interests me since it frees up a bit of space in the main chamber.
Yeah, though you only need the bracket if you're attaching two drives to one mount. See these pics from Proglin's build for an example.ah ok other posts that mentioned putting SSDs in the front must have been referring to using the bracket. Thanks.
