Back in day there were a number of Nagios configuration file generators like Groundwork Monitor Architect, or Nagconf or Nagiosql. I've noticed that some of those have moved on to enterprise releases or stopped development altogether. We have an older Nagios system and I'm looking to upgrade it to Nagios3 and bring the OS up to date. I've been editing files by hand and just realized there was Groundwork Monitor on it.
So I'm wondering what do people use now for generating Nagios conf files. How many still edit by hand? How many pay for third party software? What are some current conf generators?
