Can i get like a new one since the plastic surface is all worned out in under 4 months? lmk! :( Its getting really hard to move it around and feels really wierd.

use some pledge on it (the wood cleaning thingy)

that works nice

mine is starting to wear out after about 10 months of use (maybe 8, i forget)

pretty disappointing to be honest, its a great pad (when i first bought it) but it wore out way too soon....

maybe ill get a func or an everglide or something

10 months?!?! Mines wore out after 4months im hardcore :p I play allot of cs and thats all so i guess thats a reason i dont like using chemicals or anything nor i have pledge so, Is it possible to get a new one such as a type of warrenty?

I remember a few months ago a lot of other people commented on their GS wearing out really quickly too.

I don't know what they ended up doing about it...

I know mine wore out after about 2 months - sad. :(

Mine is still hanging in there after six months, but I did put some teflon "mouse skates" on my Intellemouse. A darn good thing to have, IMHO. Haven't felt the need for the Pledge treatement yet, but maybe I'll give it a try.

Regards - B.B.S.

My RatPadzGS wore out in about 3 months, I didnt get anything. Sadly disappointed in the product.

hmm but i love the pad but i just hate the fact that it wears out quickly i might buy some and buy some teflon skates for my intellimouse :p

My GS wore out in 3 mos also. So i switched back to the old ratpad but that kept eating through mouse skates. So now i have an xtrac ripper (cloth) and LOVE it. Its nice and smooth, and best of all its HUGE. No noise or rough feeling when moving the mouse. Cloth all the way!

I just got my Xtrac Pro HS(hard surface) pad, it is pretty nice as well, my computer is not doing so well so I can't test it with intense gaming but it feels nice and is quiet. It is MUCH thinner than the GS. It sounds like HybridHB is satisfied with his Xtrac as well so maybe you guys should check out the Xtrac line of pads, www.xtracpads.com

They have a wide variety, big to small, hard surface to cloth, variety. The site also has links to reviews by some hardware sites on each particular mouse pad which I found useful. They are reasonable priced as well I think.

I went through two Ratpads in under a year :(. Grabbed myself a fuNc and it's out lasted both my ratpads life spans put together.

It's not very encouraging to see my GS eat through my mouse skates though...

Haha

I have been using my original ratpad for like 3 years now without wearing it out. And I play a lot of CS.

Unfortunately it got scratched up when I put it in a box when I moved. I wish there was some way to buy a new original ratpad. I dont like the GS's They feel so flimsy (and apparently they wear out quickly)

well after 8 months my RatPad GS has reached it last days it so worn out that I have a har time moving my mouse  Am placing an order for a Func Pad and a MX500 :) What is the best Telfon tape for my mouse feet and were can i get some ?

My gs wore after about 3 months. I use cloth now

Go dkt pad all the way :)

GRR after i put pledge on mine my mouse cursor didnt move on the ratpadz... i had to wash it out

After my Ratpadz slowed down, i now just put pieces of scotch tape on the feet of the mouse. It's like a whole Ratpadz and i just keep replacing the tape like every two weeks. Give it a try.

my old ratpadz is still good after 2 years, but i'm on my 4th mouse from it eating the feet off.

mines been going strong for 6 months at least now. i spend tons of time on my computer and i use an mx700

its looking slightly worn, but i don't notice any actually movement problems. i game a lot and spend plenty of time on my computer doing work and looking at porn...

I'm with you on that one. More headshots my ass. My table works PEFECTLY - better than any mousepad I've ever used. It also doesn't move, doesn't have edges (well ok it does - but it's not like I ever get near em), and it doesn't wear out. Oh - and I didn't have to pay any extra for it.

my keyboard tray is metels w/ holes in it. the rest of my desk is made of glass

my desk = anti-optical mouse

therefore i use a nice hard piece of black plastic

I have the rpgs and the mx700 wireless. My mouse feet are coming off the mx700. Where can I get teflon "skates" for the mx700. Or is there an alternative?

I had my regular ratpadz for over 3 years with no problems, but my GS I got 6 months ago is already going out on me.

I stupidly sold my original corner flame ratpad.

I have 3 GS's....I need to figure out where I put them though!

Pledge has kept my MX700 sliding off the pad for months...

My RatPadz GS is in worse condition then my RatPadz to be honest. The bad part is my RatPadz is warped, so the GS still works better for gaming.

I'm really not happy with it. I've been playin with a warn out GS for about 3 months now. And I've only had it for about 8 months. So then it got worn out in about 5 months.

I think I'll get an everglide or an icemat next. Perhaps those will last me more then half a year. :(

Neither do I. Why spend so much money on a damn mouse pad...it's just ugly and gets in teh way anyway. Table top is the best!:D

None ignorant people realize that many use glass tables or a surface that a an optical mouse wont work on. Thats why people use a mouse pad.

I love the GS but its unfortuante I have to buy them in bulk (or fortunate for the ocp) I buy 3-4 at a time to last me the year. The shape of the bottom makes it uncomfortable to use the mouse anyway but the middle, so even if the sides are new and slick its not the best position.

Not sure what the big deal is though, especially for the people saying they wouldn't waste their money on a MousePad. There like $13. Quick rob a bank.

mine lasted about 2 months after torrential use. i've had it for about a year now. it's not as smooth as it was, but at least the surface is consistant now.

It'd be nice if he finds out a way to make em last more longer then 3-4 months like mines did its a AWESOME mouse pad but if it lasted longer it be way more cooler :p

ive had my GS since april, and its not worn out yet.....

vaseline keeps it slick and protects it

Yah but i dont like putting external products to make a mouse pad good i dont like it greasy or anything just the regular form like i said he should try to improve it!

Ive got both pads. Had the original for 2 years, finally it wore down. Ive had a GS for about 3 months and there is noticable wear... *sigh*... =/

My friend bought a cutting board at a lan event being sold as a mousepad. Its super slick, and hes had it over a year with NO WEAR at all.
