My power supply to blame?

So I've been trying to OC my Kuma chip past 3.1ghz stable and I just can't.

Everytime I raise the volts and to a prime95 test the computer just shuts off. Never an error on p95. Just shuts off.

AMD Kuma @ 3.1ghz
2x2GB Kingston HyperX 1066 Ram
Gigabyte MA780G0-UD3H
MSI 4870 1GB

and a BFG Tech LS550 Watt power supply.

Is that enough for an overclock with that 4870 Watt hog?

That PS should be plenty for your system, just remenber not all chips OC the same. Sounds like your chip is maxed.

Yeah. Oh well. Not bad for a 60 dollar chip.
