[RANT]My freeware version of jv16 power Tools quit at midnight, 1/2/2004. A message came up telling me that the version was old, and go to the site for a newer one. This pisses me intensely, and I refuse to buy the new version. I am rumaging through CDs looking for an older version to install that maybe won't quit.

EDIT: jv16 Beta 1.1 works, but it isn't as refined as the last freeware version. It doesn't timeout, though.
UPDATE: Version 1.2 still works. Best of all, I can't tell the difference between it and the final freeware version, except that it doesn't timeout.
MORAL: Don't update software just for the hell of it.
