The 6-pin connector from the psu has the following configuration:

ROUND ROUND SQUARE
SQUARE SQUARE ROUND

and the XFX 8800 GTX has this configuration for the 6-pin:
SQUARE ROUND ROUND
ROUND ROUND SQUARE

WTF is going on, and which one is incorrect, and what in the hell do i do now!? Would it be safe to shave one of the squares into a round to make it fit!? Please advise.

I'd take it back, and order a Corsair HX 520. Proven reliable, $106 shipped at zzf, and it will fit.

Do NOT shave the pins. Some of the pins are ground and some are +12v. If you shave them and shove it in there, you will be sending +12 into the ground. Result? Disaster.

The 8800GTX is right; your PCI-E connector is wrong.

Can you post a picture of both?

It sounds like this is the 6-pin AUX for EPS and not a PCI-e connector.

Never heard of this brand before. Just take it back and buy a Corsair/Seasonic and save yourself some trouble.
