Okay silly me ...

I ordered

ROUTER
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=64620

PCI CARD X 2
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=94367

I only jsut found out the router is incompatible with ADSL phone line connections, anyway ...

Would this work ???

WIRED ROUTER (look on the image gallery)

I was thinking about getting that cheapish router or buy my friends one and hook it to my phone line and then the ethernet port I wire to my WIRELESS router (one above).

Will I be able to use my internet on all computers WIRELESSLY and not have to have on computer idle?

So I'll just have two boxes? will this work?!

!

I've never heard of that brand...but to comment on your thoughts, you generally only want to purchase 1x router...and if you want wireless...either make that 1x router a wireless one, or...purchase an ACCESS POINT..and add that to the main router. You usually want to stay away from adding a wireless router on top of another wireless router. Yes you can bandaid those to work together...but IMO, why not start with the correct approach? Instead of saying "OK, wrong equipment...but we can still make this work if...blah blah blah"

Uh...dont you generally hook your dsl modem into the router then from the router to pcs? Not straight from the phone line to the router?

That's not approach I would take. The above link is a router/modem combo unit. If you were to use that unit...I'd get one of these... and add it to the above unit you linked...

Ideally, if you already have a router...and you wish to introduce wireless to your network...you have two choices...

1) Replace the current WIRED router with a wireless router....which is appears is not an option for you because you don't have a DSL modem/bridge,

2) Add a wireless access point to your current wired router/modem combo unit.

I prefer not to have 2x routers. Unless 1x of the devices can be flipped to access point only mode. Some units can, (such as Belkin products), other units..you can do bandaid approaches on by making sure their LAN IP is not the same as their main router, disabling DHCP, and uplinking using only LAN ports on the unit.

I think you hook the phone line to the router INSTED of a modem.

Okay laugh at my little driagram. :p ... but is this possible?

Thankyou YeOldeStonecat for your reply I never saw it till now.

I have:

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=64620

Right now, I have no returns or whatever so I'll have to keep it only problem is it does not connect to ADSL so I was going to get an ADSL router (wired) and link THAT up with this and the ADSL router (wired) will connect to the Wireless one and then to both my computers.

to clarify:

you hook your phone line into a
DSL MODEM
from there your take ethernet cable to the WAN port of your
ROUTER
connect pc's wired or wirelessly to the router.
