My monitor started to make funny sounds, help?

it was silent for 4 years and now its buzzing.

is the monitor dying?

Probably a backlight issue. I know on my monitors, if I set the backlight to it's upper ranges, they make noise.

i ran my monitor for years at 100% brightness without any noise and it was just recent that i set it on 50%.

Has changing the brightness fixed your problem? I also have a buzzing monitor, but it does so on all brightness settings.
