clean setup and nice build. How is XBMC?

XBMC is great. It does have a learning curve that takes awhile to get your head around. But ounce you do watch out. It looks awesome, organizes your stuff scraping information from IMDB. You can search your movies by Actor, Year, Director and so on. It also acts as a server for other monitors on your network and the people over at the forums are very helpful

would you happen to have more shots of the internals? im really interested in seeing how everything fits in there since im planning to pick one up for a htpc build soon

To give you an idea, its pretty tight but I am able to run the following:

X2 550 unlocked and running at 2.6GHZ under full load Prime 95 on a stock 940BE heatsink. I have 2 3.5inch drives, a dual slot 5830, a Centon PCI-e tv tunner, PCI Asus sound card, and a full height blu-ray drive.Thermally everything is fine and under normal load its very quiet.

I saw your thread title and had a flashback to the pre-Meedio application myHTPC. R.I.P. Meedio.

The only fan you can hear is the CPU fan. All three fans are connected to the fan controller and turned down to about 600 rpm. When the fan were at full speed it was loud. And by the way, I ran this with onboard Intel graphics for about 2 months before adding the Nvidia 240 and it did just fine. 1080p mkv no problems. It just had a little richer color after adding the card but really it didn't need it. The plan is to add some emulator games

Really nice build GJ.
And I see you have one of those Gigabyte cards with that cooler, it's amazing cooler :D
I used to have a GT220 from Gigabyte with that exact cooler, and I loved it. Since then I have a HD5670 in my htpc rig because the GT220 decided to drop dead so I rma'ed it and asked Jimm's if I could change the card to something else.
In the end picked the HD5670 from Gigabyte with the same cooler and ended up paying 10€ difference. Not a bad upgrade eh :D?
Right now my htpc build is as silent as it can get, all fans running at 30% speed and temps are awesome. I have thread in the htpc gallery if you wish to take a look.
E: Oh and you also have a Gigabyte motherboard, not the same socket or anything but still a nice coincidence.

Do you run XBMC by itself as the OS or do you run it on top of Windows?
