So I finally got time to rebuild and add more attention to detail onto this rig. Nothing to fancy compared to most here in this forum. Any-who, I'll let the pics do the talking
First revision back in July 2011:
And now:
Lapped my processor and waterblock:
Added black carbon fiber finish over topside of my DangerDen waterblock
Dual 120mm Swiftech radiator got finished in carbon fiber as well
Decided to cut out the mesh on the topside of the case for better air intake to radiator
Now this was a must. I definitely had to watercool my video card.
Unfortunately nobody that I know of makes a full vga block for the
non reference design PCB HD Radeon 6950. Thankfully after
researching and looking at the layout of the reference design 6870
PCB, I noticed that both non ref 6950 and ref 6870 share just about
the same layout. Knowing that there are full vga waterblocks for the
6870 I decided to order the Heatkiller X3. And yes... it's a perfect fit!
Freshly laid timm onto GPU before WB being installed
Re-installed CPU onto MB. Looks sexy huh!
Ok so my Phobya 200m radiator just came in. Time to install it. I'll be back to post pics of it installed. That's it for now...
