XDA is fantastic, definitely where you want to be if you want to be where apps start out. Others like Phandroid, Cyanogenmod, Droiddog, etc. etc. are less sophisticated.

Droid Forums and My Droid World are two excellent forums that post early and often about new custom ROMS. The folks there are very helpful and provide great advice.

Any news on the bluetooth problem yet? Using Bluetooth File Transfer on my Dext unrooted "yet" and I can't receive from other devices, hope Froyo fixes this by default.

My N1 receives files via Bluetooth just fine on Froyo.

EDIT: OHHH your running Froyo, the Dext/Cliq hasn't received the 2.1 upgrade "yet" still running on 1.5 (Cupcake) here.
