MSI Xpower X99 AC post issue

i am having an issue with my PC that I built back in 2014. Out of the blue the PC will not post. It turns on and the keyboard lights flicker but it does not continue with post. The debug code goes to 04 and stays there. I have swapped my memory around but that didn't do anything. I am thinking that the issue is with the CPU or the motherboard itself. I have tried resetting be CMOS as well. Any other suggestions before I try to RMA it? If MSI won't replace it, what x99 motherboards do people recommend these days? I do use SLi and Raid.
 
So I switched to the backup BIOS and it came back to life. I then attempted to flash the bad BIOS but now both BIOSs are doing the same thing where it will not post. Wondering if there is any other way to fix it.
