It is a hot deal. Why the regret? Both designs can be water cooled with proper fitting water block.

The last time I looked, you can't find a full cover 7950 block anywhere..This doesn't use the 7970 reference design so that means you are stuck with 7950 blocks which are EOL?
 
Awesome deal, but the fan type and were it's placed really scares me unless there's some serious metal under that shroud.
 
Bought this a month ago. It's been great, OCs well and rebate came fast
 
This looks like the same one that was selling for $130 at frys a couple weeks ago. I think there will be some good deals on 7xxx cards come black Friday/cyber Monday. Looks like retailers have been trying to clear inventory.
