A lot of people are having issue with the msi neo2 plat board and booting with sub zero temps. We've been trying to track down the issue but so far no one can find out what's going on. It's pretty specific to the new winchester cores and the motherboard itself but a few people with fx-55's are also having issues on the same board. If anyone knows what could be the issue please feel free to chime in.

We have a few discussions about the issue on Xtremesystems.org forums and here's a few links if your interested in helping out or having the same issues. We could also use some feedback from the people that have the same board/cpu combos that are not having the problem.

Ok my first post. After reading this issue I was all worried. I am about to switch from Intel to AMD. Ordered the MSI and 3500 CPU from Monarch. Now seeing this problem made me think to switch mobo since I will be using a Vapochill LS to cool the CPU. I hope that the Asus A8V will be more forgiving. Will keep you posted as soon as I have my stuff in.

Glad to see the post helped someone else before disaster struck heh. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what's going on with this combo. :(

I have heard of 2 people have issues with the Asus as well but only at -45C and that also is a boot issue but it doesn't happen often at all. You can check out Xtremesystems.org for a little more info on that board if you care to.

If it is VaporLS... I expect it to be fully able to reach -45c. Where it seems to cause problem on A8V :p Worth a try though... :) you can always grab newer revision of 3500+ newcastle if winnie doesn't work out.

Since my Epox 9nda's a goner, this is the chipset of Neo2 which will be paired with FX55 on Vapo LS. Do you guys know what kind of issues I will prolly encountered? Hope will be smooth, but I need to prepare. Thanks.
