Is the handheld market cyclical? Feels like devices come and go in waves.
You're probably right. A lot to keep track of.I'm curious about this device. Not in the market for one (Steam Deck is still working fine for me), but I am interested to see how Arc performs in this form factor. I've been really impressed with how Intel has been handling Arc improvements.
Some of the manufacturers release a new model every few months, it seems.
I know, I was being facetious.

It'll be fine....
Sorry, that was sarcasm. I'll edit the post for the "literal" crowd... In case people don't understand what facetious means.Fine for your uses, but not mine.

Nothing wrong with liking the claw.
What is the point of people wanting 32gb for these devices? 16gb should be plenty given how weak these devices are.
Massive performance gain, look at my 32GB Legion Go mods thread. What is the point of people wanting 32gb for these devices? 16gb should be plenty given how weak these devices are.
I wouldn't want to take a leak with that thing..Just got my Legion Go Thursday, shame there wasn't a 32GB version, but I'll take care of that soon, I want to practice soldering BGA chips first. I like the fact I can remove the joycons and use it as a chunky Win-tablet.
No word of the screen size for the MSI tho.

ROG Ally has about 11.7gb of usable memory after the GPU takes 4gb. It's not enough unfortunately for AAA titles. What is the point of people wanting 32gb for these devices? 16gb should be plenty given how weak these devices are.
Pretty much, I just got my Legion Go and fairly happy with it. Companies late to the game need to stand out to what's been out and matured at this point. I'm not sure if the Ultra chips or 32GB would lure much.Loving my ROG Ally. At first glance, The Claw looks like it should have been named The Clone.
DO NOT BUY THE CURRENT CLAW

Some PS3 games work fine on the steam deck. I'm looking forward to that AMD HX370 rig in a handheld to try some of the ones that don't work well on the steam deck.I saw them blowing out the lower spec Claw this week for $350. Probably would be a good emulator handheld for things like PS3 which don't do well on current retro machines.

It has a warranty though and to fix a real backwards compatible ps3 properly is almost $1000 too but has a way slower turnaround time as well. I've wanted AMD to sell something with a double digit number of rdna 3.5 like the 890m into an amalgamation like the hx370.It's only problem is the price is in the $1,000 range for those. AMD definitely wasn't shy about charging whatever they could for them.
If only they would put touchpads on these things. It's one of the things on the Steamdeck I thought I wouldn't use, but actually use all of the time. I now could not even consider one of these without at least one.
