MSI GT627

Hello everyone,

I've been researching affordable 15.4" gaming notebooks for some time now, and fell in love with the MSI GT627. There is another variant here, but while it costs less, the specs are not as nice: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT627-216US-15-4-Inch-Geforce-SuperMulti/dp/B001P5GKD0. While these models aren't available yet, you can pre-order them. I'd imagine they will be available within a couple weeks, and via other e-tailors as well.

Does anyone have anything to say regarding the build quality and longevity of MSI laptops (their G-series, in particular)? Are they keyboards solid, or do they have that spongy feeling? Is the brightness high on the panels?

Also, I remember reading somewhere that if you register, you get a free standard 2-year warranty. Can anyone verify this?

I'm pretty set on purchasing it, but am mostly interested the build quality and the tactile feedback of the keyboard. It looks like the GT627 uses a similar chassis to the GX series 15.4" notebooks - does anyone here own one of these?
