I'm about to install Windows 7 but I was wondering if I have to reinstall everything back? Or is there a way to migrate my current installed games and apps? I'm currently on Vista Ultimate.

Do an upgrade to Win 7 Ultimate and you'll be fine. If you choose a complete new install then you'll have to backup data and reinstall your programs.

Is this a clean install or an upgrade?
Dont confuse the two scenarios .

If this is a "clean" install you cannot migrate your
applicatons, programs or games, obviously.
For that you must do an "upgrade", but that is
not recomended. It leaves behind system files
from both OS's.

But for a "migration",
you can use windows Easy Transfer to migrate
your personal files like email, photos and documents
first to a USB drive. Then reinstall your apps and games.
Microsoft calls this a "custom" install.

Read these guides carefully on the steps.

I've done 3 computers using this procedure, no problems
at all.
