Can't seem to get an answer to this out of evga on their forums.

I have a stock GTX 780 from evga.

I decided I wanted it to throttle less so I bought the ACX cooler for Titan which also fits the GTX 780. They are available through evga.

While I was at it, I also bought the fancy evga GTX 780 backplate.

I'm now considering upgrading to a GTX 780 ti.

So, here's the question. . .

Will the backplate and ACX cooler that work on the Titan and GTX 780 also work on the GTX 780 ti? Many reviews state that the PCB (etc.) are almost identical. But I haven't seen anyone try this yet or state that it will work.

I don't thin so. I'm pretty sure the 780ti board has a different mount hardware layout. On OCN, people were talking about drilling new mounting holes and filing down the pads for 780 water blocks to fit the 780ti.

As far as the cooler goes, don't those just snap on to the heatsink?

Backplate works fine. Same screw holes and all.

The titan heatsink has to be modified a bit since some capacitors were moved. You can always dremel off the part after the vrm's and it should work fine as that part was really the only major change. Was planning on doing this as well once my step up gets done hopefully this week. Poor titan acx cooler has been in a drawer forever.
