Movies of the new Canon EOS 1D Mark III coming April.

Damn. Not sure how I'd use the live view, but still, damn. Why not FF?

Just thought of this, but if the live view could be set up so the mirror stays locked up after the shot, it could be a good camera for golf photographers.

I read that FF often causes soft corners when using most lenses, like on the 5D, only the topnotch L lenses are good enough, by making the 1DMIII as cropfactor 1.3 prevents that so you can use any EF lens without getting soft corners.
 
If you have a MK III you probably are using L glass anyway. I think it's more a cost issue and that sports shooters tend to use long lenses so the crop factor helps.
