Hi all,

I am facing a situation, on which I have done quite a lot of research and came up with nothing.
Please have a look on this link to understand exactly, what I am facing and what I am trying to do;

Windows 2000: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q249694/
Windows 2000: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q263532

The above is for Windows 2000 only. Try as I might, I have been unable to perform the same operation
with a Windows 2003 Server. Searching for the same procedure for Windows Server 2003 also comes
up with nothing except "Using Install-from-Media & the System State Backup to promote a Windows 2003
computer to an Additional Domain Controller".

The First Domain Controller holds the Forest Info, the FSMO Roles, AD, DNS, DHCP & WINS. I tried using
the "System State Backup" to restore using Directory Services Restore Mode, only to find out that the NEW
computer with better configs comes up with a BROKEN DNS, DHCP and WINS database and application's
Management SNAP-IN doesnt load at all, so that didnt work either. I have the latest "System State Backup"
and the backup of "Windows Folder".

What I am need to know urgently is how do I go about, installing a New Windows 2003 Server DC in place
of the OLD one (The machine that got fried), and then restore the Domain Configs, AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS
etc, and have it up and running like the OLD FRIED SYSTEM.

Rob.
