Motherboard for Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5

I like the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard but they do not list Xeon's as compatible. That's not to say it doesn't work so I am looking for advice or experience using Xeon's with the Z170 chipset.

The E3-v5's are not compatible with the z170 or h170 or any of the consumer lineup now. They are only compatible with the C232 and C236 chipsets.

As far as I'm aware, the Xeon E3 v5 chips will only work with boards with the C232 and C236 chipsets. They cut off compatibility with the consumer oriented chipsets.

can confirm they will only run on c232 and c36 because intel was upset people used them in gaming rigs and want more of your money
