Mortal Kombat X

Can someone tell me why practically all rap/hip-hop is horrible.
 
Rap was equally shitty then your just old now :) I'm 38 and can't stand this shit or the older shit. Only thing worse is country!

Game trailer was cool though.

lol, I guess you're right I just had a birthday yesterday 32. Oh god new "Country" is horrid. I get subjected to it from time to time and want to claw my ears off.
 
Getting back on topic, I'm actually super excited this. The last game played really well, so I don't mind if it's just more of the same but with new/classic characters and another huge Krypt to explore.

Yep, I hope that its as good as the last one. I really enjoyed the storyline of MK9. I'm interested to see where they go with it.
 
I'm a bit interested. I appreciate how the newer games from Boon and the crew have been pretty decent fighting games in their own right.
IMO, the only gripe I have is the movement. Everything just looks jerky and stiff compared to SF, Tekken, VF, etc. If they can fix that, I'm in.
 
was there no other song with "who's next" in the lyrics?! I don't mind rap but this just crap!! MK should be fast music, techno or some metal, not rap! on another note, if that is what the game will look/play like, its awesome!
 
I can't stand metal or any of the HxC crap.

I should rephrase. I can't stand any of the damn singing in metal. I don't even consider it singing. The background music is good though. The singing totally ruins that garbage.

I'm wondering which fighters are returning because the story in MK9 didn't have many survive.
 
Scorpion and Subzero sure are obsessed with each other. I don't know why they just don't put down their weapons, put aside their fake hatred for each other and just get married already.

For real? MK9 is one of the best fighters ever. Clearly you haven't played it. I can easily overlook a rap song in a short trailer.
 
I'm not seeing the problem, not a huge hip-hop fan, but the song mostly fits the video. Also, its a demographic thing. The fighting game community is probably 50% black male 16-30.

I also like that it was a cinematic but clearly showed some of the actual gameplay elements.
 
On a related note, today you can get the final upgrade for Street Fighter 4, Ultra Street Fighter 4, in the PSN and XBL stores. It rebalances current cast members, adds the 4 SFxTekken characters, and adds a new character, Decapre. It's probably too little too late for casual fans, but I'm an addict.

I'm a big Rolento fan going back to the SF Alpha days. I wanted to bite just for him. Yet I don't play fighters like I use to so hard to click that buy button.

One reason I like these new MKs and Injustice. Have tons of single player stuff. I hope Capcom includes a story mode like MK9 in the next major SF release.
 
Not thrilled this is another cross-gen game. Sony and MS should really sweeten the pot to get developers to go next-gen only.

They're likely using Unreal Engine still, which scales up/down pretty well. I wonder if they've moved to UE4 though?

Hmm, yeah who knows. Hopefully we will find out the technical details at E3 here in a week. I just found out that its coming out for the PC as well *fistpump*

That's not metal....

And there's a wide variety of "metal" from the "screamo" crap no one can understand to classic metal like Ozzy, AC/DC, Judas Priest etc. which I think most people can definitely understand.

MK's Omni-jerky animation is practically a trademark of the series now. :)
 
New wasp girl that was in the E3 trailer seemed cool. I think they got the idea from Q-Bee from Darkstalkers.
 
The Scorpion fatality should be burning a hole through the chest, spearing the heart, and holding it while it bursts into flame from summoned hell fire.
 
Maybe it's just me but I think they're going a bit overboard with the gore this time.

I think he means since the graphics are so advanced now it looks pretty damn real especially the xray moves showing the anatomy of the human body in better detail than before..... Just seeing the innards and mutilation of our bodies is too much for a lot of people even if it's just graphical depictions.
