Alright, long story short.

I redid my network set up a few months ago, and it was running great for some time. However, things on two of the computers started acting weird the other day.

First, here's the setup

Cable modem->Desktop computer->Desktop computer->Netgear Switch->
Wireless Router->Laptop
and
Netgear Router->Second desktop

Now, I don't have any internet connection on the second desktop and the laptop.

The cable modem goes to the gigabit connection on my Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe, and then the second network connection there goes out to the Netgear switch.

My ISP only provides me with 1 IP, so essentially it was going to by main desktop. The gigabit connection is set to auto assign from DHCP (my ISP, I suppose), and then the outbound connection is set manually to 192.168.0.1 and 255.255.255.0 , respectively. Both the laptop and second desktop are set to obtain addresses manually.

Like I said, things were working fine for a while, and suddenly went kaput the other day.

As always, any help is mucho appreciated.

Could you draw a picture of your setup.

This one doesnt make sense to me. If you draw it and it looks like that then your whole network is done wrong or just really messed up looking.

You should have:

Cable Modem > Router > Switch > Desktops

You need to have a router hooked into the modem. Unless that desktop is a router/firewall running dhcp and everything. I didnt get that though from reading your post.

Here is what I interpret from it
. . . . . . . . . (Modem)

. . . . . . . (Router) . (Router)
. . . . .. . . | . . . . . |

If That is what it is... Wow you might want to consider simplifying your setup instead of using all that.

yeah that's pretty ugly and not useful.
