So I have been accessing email between a few machines and I set up one as the main machine with POP and all the other machines with IMAP. I did this so that I could always get new mail on any machine, but it would remain accessible to the other machines until I downloaded it onto the machine running POP.
Unfortunately when I tried to check email on my POP machine after a few days my machine wouldn't recognize the emails I'd recieved in the past few days on the gmail server as new (I'd accessed them from an IMAP machine) and so it wouldn't download/see them. I logged into my gmail account to make sure the emails were there and they were. I tried marking them as unread to see if I could download them after doing that. Still no luck.
