More chrome for Metro apps shown in new Windows 8.1 Update 1 leaked screenshots

I think that images of the chrome for close button were the only thing that's been rumored to part of the modern UI changes in this release that hadn't leaked before today. As I suspected there is a minimize button which pretty much had to be there if modern apps can now be pinned to the taskbar. And it looks like you boot to the desktop by default, at least with a keyboard and mouse device. What's interesting is that the criticisms now seem to be coming more from the people that like Metro, which isn't necessarily a surprise.

Again, I'm sure nothing here will change the opinion of those that are the most ardent opponents of 8 but this does really seem to be an attempt at improving integration and making the modern UI more familiar to desktop users.
