Probably because she prescribed it and they got better?

also

https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/sanctions-canadian-doctors-experimental-drugs-1.5511244

THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
Ok, so not banned. And only for prescribing to family and friends. Got it.

What if they would have gotten better without the drug. I'm sure she at least had a placebo group to compare against right?

Hey look, another trial showing no benefits:

If you mean Hydroxychloroquine, only one study shows it works. The rest conclude it does more harm than good.

The interesting thing here is that most of the advocates of it say "start it as early as possible when the onset of symptoms appear, possibly with Vitamin D and Zinc." Meanwhile, most of the actual studies seem to wait until people are already on ventilators. We won't really know for sure until we get a study that tests early administration of the stuff. (There are also a lot of anecdata about the possibility that ventilators are the wrong treatment, based on the actual physical changes to people's lungs.)

No, there are multiple studies prescribing it to people who weren't even diagnosed yet. They just had a high risk exposure. Usually a family member.

Testing whether or not it's a good preventative seems like a different thing from testing whether or not it'll help treat the disease.

Well they continue testing it when they get the COVID-19 (which about 15% did if I remember right). That's about as early as you can get in treatment.

Honestly, there are ton of studies out now, you should go take a look. Here's a couple:

"A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

Nope.

Nowhere did he tell people to inject themselves.

Quite possibly the stupidest thing a leader of any country anywhere has said since "let them eat cake."

In his defense it sounds to me more like he suggesting huffing disinfectant under medical direction... not just injecting it yourself in your bathroom. Really who knows WTF he was trying to say clearly he has less education then your average 14 year old.

Queen Marie, the people are starving. We have no bread. Well lets see I think I have a fix for that... "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche."
Mr. President the people are getting sick... they are spreading germs. What do we have to fight germs.... oh good can we get that into people. lol

Underline the part where he says "inject yourself with disinfectant."

Then go back and underline the part where it's a question with no question mark put in.,

What trial phase is injecting disinfectants in? :hilarious:

Umm the Prez straight up said it on live tv bud. But I can see how a blind follower could get buttmad about it :p

Nowhere did I say he told people to inject themselves but he did say "And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning."

Nice try though, better luck next time with reading comprehension.

Par for the course with followers. :vomit:

So no you can't

That's cool though.

That was a question.

"Is there a way" is the qualifier.

Says the guy who claims HCQ is banned and then posted an article where doctors could be sanctioned for prescribing it to family and friends.
For office use means it's being used off label.

you can still get it if you have other things it's treats besides The Wuflu

How about we all just go back to our normal pre-Wuhan Virus lives since you've got about a 99.5% chance of surviving it and probably a greater than 80% chance of getting it and not even realizing it? Unless your elderly or have some underlying condition, this virus isn't that big of deal. It certainly doesn't warrant the trampling of our inalienable rights and the trillions of dollars that we've spent on it by closing the country down. What do you think the risk is going to be associated with any early vaccine? It better be a lot less than .5% if you want the majority of the population to take it. Look at the flu vaccine -- who shouldn't take it? Those with underlying conditions -- the same people who are most at risk for this virus. The biggest winners for a vaccine will be the elderly since they are at high risk and don't have to worry about any long-term complications. In the meantime, the country would be better off with most of our healthy population contracting the disease so that we get some degree of herd immunity.

1400 people died today in the US from Covid-19.

About 1 per minute.

Proof please? And as said above, from or with? Sounds like BS made up numbers to me. Especially considering this thing is no more deadly than the seasonal flu, in regards to numbers.

You guys know your way around the web, go find out what you need.
I'm not going to get in to an argument with you about sources, so find your own.'
You only believe what you want anyhow.

Do not post information without evidence, legit evidence to back it up. Just as this so called vaccine is supposedly legit but what evidence do we even have. I also believe facts, not narrative pushing information, as some outside of these forums are doing daily.

I think only Colorado makes the distinction as of right now.

have any of you guys intubated anyone? Medical personnel don't do it for fun, we do it when someone can no longer maintain their airway/oxygen saturation. They will die without intubation.

A crazy physician prescribing something and claiming it works does not constitute a study. In the medical world, there are TONS of physicians I would not recommend to friends/family. I'm sure most of her colleagues feel this way about her. Know what's crazy? You have tons of reputable physicians saying things about COVID, like wearing a piece of cloth on your face to mitigate risk, but you latch on to FUD from a nut job and everyone else is lying.

What a time to be alive.

Would they do it for 39,000 dollars?

And yet, that piece of cloth does jack all about nothing, ultimately. The absolutely only reason I ever wear one is to get in and out of a store quickly and to get into work and that is all. In fact, when I wore one during somewhat physical work, within an hour, my voice was hoarse and my throat was extremely dry and irritated. Those things ultimately do nothing for the reasons they claim.

I asked from or with.

Understanding Death Data Quality: Cause of Death from Death Certificates
Death certificates are a powerful tool for understanding how and why people die. Cause-of-death information is valuable to families and to public health – and getting it right matters.
How Death Certificates Work
When a person dies, the cause of death is determined by the certifier
– the physician, medical examiner, or coroner who reports it on the death certificate. States register all death certificates and send them to the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), where they are used to produce the nation’s official death statistics.
Certifiers are asked to use their best medical judgment based on the available information and their expertise. When a definitive diagnosis cannot be made, but the circumstances are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty, certifiers may include the terms “probable” or “presumed” in the cause-of-death statement.
Cause of Death and COVID-19
When COVID-19 is reported as a cause of death on the death certificate, it is coded and counted as a death due to COVID-19. COVID-19 should not be reported on the death certificate if it did not cause or contribute to the death.
Things to Know About Cause-of-Death Data Quality
Getting high quality cause-of-death information can be challenging, especially during emergencies
. Certifiers may be faced with heavy workloads, may not have access to complete information about the death, or may not be well trained in how to prepare quality cause-of-death statements.
The quality of cause-of-death data depends on death certificates being complete and accurate.
  • Complete means describing a clear chain of events from the immediate to the underlying cause of death, reporting any other conditions that contributed to death, and providing information that is specific.
  • Accurate means reporting the correct conditions as causes of death.
Cause-of-death information is not perfect, but it is very useful. Current estimates indicate that about 20%-30% of death certificates have issues with completeness. This does not mean they are inaccurate. However, higher quality information can provide an even better picture of what is happening.
Making Death Certificate Data Better
NCHS is always working towards 100% completeness and accuracy of death certificates.
  • Monitoring the quality of the data with ongoing review of death certificates as they are received and by following up with state vital records offices to verify and correct inaccuracies.
  • Providing trainings and tools to help certifiers, such as online courses to improve cause-of-death reporting and a Cause of Death mobile app.
  • Offering death certificate reporting guidance – and tailor advice to specific topics like COVID-19 – to help certifiers better complete the cause-of-death section on the death certificate.

Incorrect.

It mitigates risk and reduces inhaled viral load.

Reducing viral load is good for multiple reasons

First being you might not inhale a high enough number of viral particles to induce infection

2nd being inhaling a lower number allows you to mount an immune response more effectively. It's pretty well established that people with high levels of exposure seem to struggle more with COVID.

So if you and everyone else wears a mask it is helpful as people that may be carrying the pathogen will be sharing it less, and people will be inhaling it less. It's pretty basic. Countries with high rates of mask compliance seem to be having a far better time with this whole covid thing, wonder why?

I've worn masks while resuscitating people, cry more.
