I have the Mplay Blast on my HTPC, and honestly, i hate it. The remote control and the software that comes with it is crap. The Microsoft Media Center Remote/Keyboard and IR receiver is far superior, at least in functionality, not to mention my Harmony 880 works much better with the Microsoft IR receiver. So i was thinking about modifying the Mplay, removing the IR receiver and replacing it with a MS IR receiver. Then, controlling the display with other software.
However, I have little to no experience with modding that doesn't involve my dremel and grinding/cutting/painting. Does anyone know of any good resources for this kind of project? a google search didn't give me any results, so i thought i'd ask if anyone has any personal knowledge or experience with this kind of thing.
Also, if this belongs more in the case modding section, i apologize. I figured since this question was more specific to HTPCs, it might belong here.
